I did not want to do it over!
I divorced in July 2013 with some pretty bad memories of my first marriage.
So, I avoided the second one.
Those who want to get married after divorce probably want the chance to make
it better, learning from their mistakes and do it right the second time. I did
not bother if I could get that chance again.
I spend my time dating and drinking beer with my friends. I lived alone and I
successfully avoided to get too overly attached to any girlfriend at that
time. I did yoga regularly and before sleep I read spiritual books... Life was
good.
Then pandemic came. COVID19 changed everything. I ended my last
relationship at the beginning of March 2020 and after that was impossible to
meet anyone for a long time.
My twin sister died in May 2020 from Covid and I lost all interest in
dating. I was sad and in pain, grieving alone, far away from family. It was
a difficult time in my life.
In November 2020 my good friend George was in Serbia visited his girlfriend
and he called me from the party. We were talking for awhile, he showed my
his surroundings. I noticed a gorgeous brunette on the end of a couch and I
asked him about her. He told me that it is her birthday party. I asked to
put her on the phone and I talked to her, we exchanged phone numbers...
I contacted her on Facebook, we became friends and we started chatting. This
is how all started.
I liked her on the first sight and I wanted to meet her but it was not easy.
I was not dating anyone so far away and being not fond of too much
messaging, I was not so optimistic for our relationship especially because
she sounded cold and distant. So after 2 months I ended communication with
her, removed her from my Facebook friends and deleted her phone number.
In September 2021, I got her Facebook profile pop up on my phone screen as a
friend suggestion. We got connected again and I asked her how we can meet. I
decided to go to Belgrade in December.. and we finally met on December 24,
2021.

If you are a divorced guy who wants to get married again, don't let anyone take your dream away. Don't listen to those who say, "Why do you need it?" Instead, listen to your heart and your gut. If second marriage feels right, I say let her fully have you and your heart and don't hold back. Because, divorced people are allowed to have a fairytale ending, too.
