The greatest achievement of humanity

Unfortunately, there are no large asteroids predicted to hit Earth soon. The object with the highest probability of colliding with Earth is the 1,100 feet (340 m) wide asteroid 99942 Apophis, which is predicted to get dangerously close to Earth in 2068.

It is up to humanity to destroy this planet and to destroy itself. That will happen sooner than you think. Because humanity lacks self-identity. Human beings have become removed from the nature. The global devastation of species and ecosystems is happening on an ever increasing rate.

The greatest notable achievements of humanity is simply that they haven't yet destroyed themselves.

In the recent days, scientist have built unimaginable powerful killing machines, created biological agents of warfare, refused to take action on a social (and financial) inequality, starting playing god with other organisms, and learned how to use software to more effectively kill each other.

It is a small miracle people are still here to appreciate their advancements.

It is not just nuclear weapons that threaten humanity. Covid-19 was an example of biological warfare done on planetary scale, and it's just a beginning for other synthetic biology that could create new pandemics.

Military complex is the richest industry on this planet. They don't stop making new way of killing fellow humans, so they came up with lethal autonomous weapons (or ”killer robots”) that can target and fire without human intervention. They have now succeeded to incorporate artificial intelligence into war via drones and other machines.

The new threats are, like the old threats, products of human ingenuity and technological advancement. You're still imagining that you are living in a world of a democracy, and you may even still believe it, but in fact your life and fate is in the hands of a few ultra-rich, ultra-powerful and ultra-inhuman oligarchs. These non-humans are running our world without ever been elected.

A simple look at today's world and how people operate will show you that people have become more and more like headless chickens, running around being busier than ever, anxious than ever, preoccupied with things that in reality do not matter, ever glued to their phones just like a junkie’s need for a fix.

I find it deeply disturbing to observe how people becoming more and more selfish. And the irony is that, the selfishness is  everywhere: I see it in parliaments, I see it in corporations, I see it within the media, I see it in any human interaction.

All political leaders await their time to express their "willingness to follow" instructions from the fascist corporations.

It is such a joke - human delegates, celebrities, government officials, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, wannabe-influences and whatnot - all communicate with the world and with each other via twitter and social media and applaud it to be as the greatest service to humanity.

The crooked political system, distorted entertainment industry, false news and advertisements, phony medical and pharmaceutical industry, dishonest food industry, poor travel and working conditions, constant wars and lost of basic human rights are our world.

Everyone is a slave and the slave tends to dream of becoming a master rather than of gaining freedom. The crux of the matter on which the whole ploy of the humanity rests is man's suggestibility, complacency and tendency to wishful thinking.

How and why people become like this? Most people desire by nature to succeed, but what is success?

People don't know what success is all about and since they don't know what it's about they really don't know where to look for it. Success is really nothing more than knowing who you are.

Any person who knows what he is and where he's going is a success. You are success if you know why you're getting up in the morning and where you're going but conversely if you don't know what you are, what it is that you want, if you don't have a goal you're unsuccessful, your life means nothing.

19 out of 20 of working people don't have the foggiest notion of why they're getting up in the morning and going to work  And you're the one of them?
