Know Thyself is the goal of life

I am re-arranging my apartment. I want to make room for my wife when she comes.

I removed kitchen's counter-top bar made room for a dinner table. The wardrobe from living room has moved to bedroom and now there was enough space to put a small table with 4 chairs. 10 years I was eating while standing in the kitchen, sometimes I ate on work table. Now that's changed.

I bought 50 inch TV for living room. I got Rogers max package which has streaming services as well as 160 cable channels.

I want a new modern red-gray-black carpet in living room. I ordered it.

I turned around queen size bed in bedroom from north-south to east-west direction. I want to add additional wardrobe in bedroom, but this will be done when my wife comes to live with me.

My apartment is ready to accommodate two persons. Other make-overs will done by my wife. Our plan is to live here until we buy 2 bedroom apartment.

Yesterday was All Saints Day, the day dedicated to all saints in the world, to all exceptional individualities who accomplish the goal of being human.

Do you know what is the goal of being human?

Do you know what is the meaning of your life? What is your purpose here on this planet?

You might take that the meaning of life involves some kind of joke, if I ask you, you may respond with nervous laugh and an attempt to change the subject. This question is threatening, you're too unnerving to dare to say anything sincere or serious and so the laughter seems only safe response.
Nature seems to be a purposeless and meaningless machine. Did we pay for our new mental freedom by sacrificing the meaning of our existence? Partially knowledgeable man stands alone, uprooted in an icy universe, lost in the chain of generations which arose from nothing, and become nothing. What is the purpose of it all? Is this the desired purpose of understanding, the last great answer to all questions asked of nature? ~ Carsten Bresch
I can tell you the answer but it is up to you to accept it. You are born birth after birth in order to find out who you are!
To know what you are, you must first investigate and know what you are not. Discover all that you are not - body, feelings thoughts, time, space, this or that - nothing, concrete or abstract, which you perceive can be you. The very act of perceiving shows that you are not what you perceive. The clearer you understand on the level of mind you can be described in negative terms only, the quicker will you come to the end of your search and realize that you are the limitless being. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj
Take this for granted... Know Thyself is the goal of your life. You may postpone the accomplishment of this goal for some future births, it is up to you, there is a plenty of time which carries a lot of unnecessary suffering, in the end you're dealing with infinity. Take care.
