Looking at this photo I noticed they have marked an adult to be
from 36 to 55 years. Then old age comes after 65. What happened between 55 and 65? It looks like this decade is
a twilight zone.
An unfortunate pitfall of the 55 to 65 decade is that you feel disappointed
and almost hurt by life. Kids are left, you're divorced, you are overweight,
your sleep pattern is disturbed, you've started drinking, you've started
panicking about health issues, you've started asking yourself "is this all
there is".
My friend you have reached maturity, you see that you cannot improve your
reality, you can just lower your expectations. Get a dog in order to
have somebody to love you because no one else does that anymore.
On your voyage to the old age
Your feeling that you are unseen and unheard is quite
right, although you still have hope for something to come but dammit if I
know what you're hoping for. You are lost.
Don't panic, it is a good thing, being alone is a not so bad place to be,
besides the sense of boredom and the feelings of isolation you are
being forced to confront your thoughts.
Unfortunately, you have spent your young age on education, schools,
universities... you became an adult full of useless knowledge. You started
working a job without actually knowing anything, and guess what, you made it
through.
You met your soul-mate, at least on the beginning you believed that
shit. Yup, became married with kids. You continued to
waste your precious time, this time by being a too good parent, too
observant, too controlling. Oh yes, I know, you just wanted them to
succeeded, and to be the same as you are.
Somewhere in the process of taming your kids and fighting your spouse, you
lost touch with yourself. You spent 10, 20 or 30 years being in that
boring relationship killing your individuality. The divorce felt like a
refreshment, finally, something to move you, shake you up, and change your
perspective.
It was an opportunity of the beginning of different kind of life, the
opportunity of meeting yourself more clearly, but you wasted it on online
dating, seeing women that resembles your ex., drinking, going out, traveling and
working, working like a dog.
You became a manager, a director a vice president... money came, rich but
so cheap in the heart. Well my friend, enjoy your new girlfriend, and your
new car and your new summer cottage....
I am not here to help you get through the crap that is coming. I
have no compassion for your inner state of misery and your old age fear.
Do you know what is the goal of being human?
Do you know what is the meaning of your life? What is your purpose here on
this planet?
You might take that the meaning of life involves some kind of joke, if I
ask you, you may respond with nervous laugh and an attempt to change the
subject. This question is threatening, you're too unnerving to dare to say
anything sincere or serious and so the laughter seems only safe response.
Nature seems to be a purposeless and meaningless machine. Did we pay for our new mental freedom by sacrificing the meaning of our existence? Partially knowledgeable man stands alone, uprooted in an icy universe, lost in the chain of generations which arose from nothing, and become nothing. What is the purpose of it all? Is this the desired purpose of understanding, the last great answer to all questions asked of nature? ~ Carsten Bresch
I can tell you the answer but it is up to you to accept it. You are born
birth after birth in order to find out who you are!
To know what you are, you must first investigate and know what you are not. Discover all that you are not - body, feelings thoughts, time, space, this or that - nothing, concrete or abstract, which you perceive can be you. The very act of perceiving shows that you are not what you perceive. Take this for granted... Know Thyself is the goal of your
life. You may postpone the accomplishment of this goal for some future
births, it is up to you, there is a plenty of time which carries a lot of
